The media matics dvd player on my laptop produces a black player window and no sound when(any dvd)is played.

Although the drive light is flickering and the hard disk is light is flickering like normal when a dvd is played I have a black player window.

The computer is a IBM 770 with a Pentium II 233Mhz Processor.
It has an EVA (Enhanced Video Adapter card)that assists the slow processor in decompressing the video.

It was set up with Win98SE using instructions off the IBM web support site. Including the Supplementary files needed to load 98SE and all the drivers and the player application. Loaded in the proper order.

*video card
*audio
*Mediamatics Express player application and its update.
*EVA or Mpeg DVD decoder driver

I realize this is perhaps not the proper forum to ask this question but I know many of you are skilled with computers and perhaps you may have meaningful comments or an answer for me.

Thank you in advance for your time.

This has nothing to do with GK/AGK. Moved to S/W players forum.
