Please take a look at the pictures for the problems. There are more if you want them.
This was taken about 10 years ago and was recorded on a very old camera (http://img172.exs.cx/img172/3018/camera6la.jpg), a lot like the one at the beginning of the tv show ALF :D.
I have terrible hatching on this PAL video, colour levels, noise , off croma and bleeding etc.

I have tried the dedot, decross, cnr2, GuavaComb, Peachsmoother, IIP, only peachsmoother “started” to make a difference on the hatching (but not the in best way I think). I have tried getting DustV5 and fftw3 to work but the LaodpluginEx is having some issues.

ANY help is warmly welcomed here.
The source as already mentioned is Full PAL and was captured from a VHS Tape which was captured from a Very old Sony camcorder.
I'm trying to convert to a clear dvd that will be watched on a tv.

1. fft3d does not need "LoadPlugInEx"
2. defreq is , so my meaning, a good choise. Try it

Yeah, FFT3D, DeFreq, multi-blended-denoising and averaging multiple captures should help !!!

OT: Cool, a PowerRanger action-figure... :D

@neuron2 Sorry i will change title.

thanks guys i am still sorting out the defreq function parameters, but it looks like its what i need. i jsut need to set up loads of fx's and fy's.

FFT3D is very nice i have learned that maybe values of 20 or so may not be the way to go here though :o

@Soulhunter LOL yeh power rangers rule...:o :p funny enough i jsut turn on tv and its still going ! LOL...oh well lol!

Solve your LoadPluginEx issue (msvcr70|71//msvcp70|71 dll ?) - Looks like something where GoldDust could show its real magic. Not necessarily, but probably.

Could manao's script (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=89555) help you?

(PS: Alf is great)

Yes everything is fine now, i think i must of mixed up a file, because everything is working now.
i will give Golddust a try and hopefully i can preserve as much detial as possible :)
Maybe the lines are too strong for defreq, the lines don't really roll, its more of a set of layers moving in Parallel with each other. (I'm still reading up on defreq though)
any recomendations for IIP? maybe with golddust somehow?

@niamh I've had a look but somehow i didn't really follow up on it(don't know why  24hrs without sleep might of done it).
I was very impressed with the screen shots posted.
