I'm trying to make a backup of the movie "The Day After tomorrow".
I'm using dvd-RB 0.72 + CCE, IfoEdit 9.71 and VobBlanker 1.6.0.5
First I open the main movie ifo in IfoEdit. I strip unwanted streams and Vob IDs. Then I process the movie again with VobBlanker. I blank the last cell which contains the subtitles.
Up to this point if I compress the movie with dvd-RB (just to test), it turns out fine.
After I have blanked the last cell, I use VobBlanker again to cut out the Warner logo at the start. Then I compress with dvd-RB and get the following problem:
Sound starts with a delay of a few seconds and when it does, video freezes.
In other words I get video when I hit play, but no sound. After a few seconds the sound that was supposed to be in the beginning kicks-in and keeps playing, but the video is frozen. I can bypass this by fast-forwarding, but of course that isn't a solution.
I tried encoding with dvd-RB after every pre-processing step and confirmed that the only thing causing the problem was cutting out the Warner logo.
Any insight please?
