Hi guys,
I got a problem with my DVD2AVI. I'm using DVD2AVI version 1.86.
Everytime I convert a vob file(which has a 25 minutes duration) into AVI file,
it always end with the result of 9 minutes avi files. What happened?
It seemed that the avi files that made by DVD2AVi can't have a duration more than 9 minutes. FYI, the DVD is NTSC.
Best Regards,
Hendry

Maybe you're running into a file size limitation. What OS are you using and what file system? What is the size of the AVI that is created? If you are running into a file size limit, select a compression codec with more compression. Maybe you are saving into uncompressed RGB. Open the AVI in VirtualDub and do File/File information. See what codec it's using and tell us.
(Actually, hardly anybody uses the built-in Save AVI function anymore. It's even been removed from DGIndex.)

I'm using windows xp sp 1 and NTFS. DVD2AVI created 2 GB AVI file.
I'm using canopus dv compression to create AVI file in DVD2AVI.
I'm quite sure that my system can create more than 4 GB AVI file
since I can capture video and create 9 GB AVI file using canopus compression.
So what is the problem?

DVD2AVI does not support the OpenDML extensions, so it is limited to 2GB. That's one reason that nobody uses the Save AVI functionality. Your solution is to Save Project and then open the D2V file in VirtualDub via Avisynth, and then save your AVI from there.
