geez. How many of those do we need until we see a reform of the patent system? And in light of this, how can anybody be for an imitation of that system in the EU?

That would be different. Last I saw Real Basic was fairly Mac specific. But I have lost most interest in basic. It is after all a bit well basic. :p Though I do have fond memories of using basic on my old Timex Sinclair AKA ZX-Spectrum to the world at large. My current pet language is cross platform .Net or Mono in general. For advertising .Net as highly cross platform Microsoft does a good job of mucking it up with proprietary things.
Anyhow yes grrrr Microsoft bad. Must stop. But when will the public at large wake up. :( It's sad they just accept all this as part of day to day life in the MS world. What's worse is that we have an "MS" world in the first place. :p
