Hi,

Is there a way of having AutoGK use command line options on startup to automatically start processing an encode ?

I want to encode some DVB-T TS streams and there is an option in the app I use for this to do some post-processing. I would like to be able to call AutoGK after the stream has been recorded to encode using some presets or arguments passed from a command line.

Is this possible ? Or is there some other way other having AutoGK automatically process a file ?

Cheers.

I would also be interested in a batch mode for AutoGk: passing basic options such as input file, output file and required size on the command line, and then quitting when encoding is complete...

This is definately a feature I would be willing to pay for so that I could add a 1-button recompress to my PVR....

I realise that there are other command line tools (such as ffmpeg/mencoder), but it is all the extras that AutoGk detects and handles (cropping, deinterlacing, IVTC, resizing) that makes it such a great tool..

In the short term, I guess I will have to do somthing in Girder :)

Its been a while since I have been in the AutoGK development thread but Len0x has basically said that he didnt want to create this feature as it would open AutoGK to be abused and wrapped inside of another program and another person or entity would then take credit for his work. In summary he wants you to use the App not take credit for it and abuse it.

Check the development thread its there somewhere in the first part.

I also would like the feature you request, but I can see Len0x's point of view. I use AutoGK to encode *several* tv series eps that I buy on DVD so that I can take them on the road with me. I can fit an entire season on one DVD and not have to worry about ruining or losing the originals.
