hi!
i have just started DVD authoring, and i have encoutered this problem.
I have a full length video, and I want to place a few buttons on certain places along the timeline that links to another smaller video titles. After that smaller video title finishes, it will automatically jump back to where the full video left off.
Does this require Seamless Branching? I am using DVD-lab PRO. And it doesn't seems to have this feature(not sure). Or is there another way around it?
I am quite urgent in completing this project.
Thanks in advanced!

The basic way is to have the buttons to link to a different title where the relevant smaller clip is, then have it link back to the main feature. As far as I'm aware, this is the only way it can be done in DVD-lab PRO. I don't think DVD-lab PRO has anyway to do any kind of Seemless Branching.

What your are inquiring about is not seamless branching.. its generally referred to as Button Over Video. and its just done by jumping PGCS then jumping back.. its easiest if its in the same VTS since jumping VTS requires dummy pgcs in the VMG or grpm tricks in the first play. Ive done so in scenarist (very expensive.) DVDLab Pro does not support button over video although he has it in the 'ToDo' list.

Thanks for the immediate respond. :)
Looks like i am in deep trouble.
Is there a way around it? What other authoring software supports Button over Video?

Ok, i think i have found a walkaround. I can rendered the whole button sequence as an animated menu. Not a good idea, but still somewhat fix the problem, until i found a better way of doing it. (not scenarist! :) )

Nice thing about dvdlab pro is that it doesnt need dummy pgc in the vmg etc. You can use a bridging object to link two different vob or pgc sets. I haven't tried creating buttons within a video asset so I wouldn't know if that's something that isn't supported. But if Trahald says so I'm quite sure it isn't.
