Hi Zeul et al.

I am posting to try and get some help with NuMenu4u. I am using it standalone (i.e. re-encoding menus with NuMenu then reencoding the main video VOBs with DVD-Rebuilder in seperate stages).

I am at the stage where the whole NuMenu4u process has only worked completely once (working result with all VTS copied across, IFO files corrected,etc.). Normally the automation process is breaking down after the Scenarist stage (I think) - which usually seems to work fine.

Anyway I end up with VIDEO_TS folder in my working directory with the VTS menus/ifos and VIDEO_TS files only. E.g. something like
VIDEO_TS.ifo
VIDEO_TS.bup
VIDEO_TS.vob
VTS_01_0.ifo
VTS_01_0.bup
VTS_01_0.vob
...

The files are correct and the menus have been compressed in VTS_01_0.vob. NuMenu4u tells me in the log that it is copying the
'Copying Unprocessed Files' and 'Copying Unprocessed Files Complete'. I am not sure that this step is taking place!!

So I manually copy across the remaining VTS vob files and correct VTS_01_0.ifo using IfoEdit (and any other title sets with menus).
Then I open VIDEO_TS.ifo and Get VTS Sectors to correct it. This seems to work (most of the time!!)

I get the odd problem with the Scenarist Automation (it tends to need manual 'coaxing') and DVD2AVI keeps 'stealing' focus away from other applications when it is running (at the beginning of the process) which can be annoying (thankfully it doesn't run for long). Anyway to .ini this (DVD2AVI) behaviour away?

All in all the project is looking really nice!!

Cheers,

Robert

hmm
Why not try pressing the Enable Rebuilder support under default settings. DVD2AVI is another story, this is a characteristic, and there is nothing we can do about it yet. What problems with automate?

Hi

I have been editing the menus down with DVD Shrink, then running DVD ReMake Pro over the whole DVD to strip out stuff I don't want/rewrite all of the Disk commands then running DVD Rebuilder+RB-Opt. So when I
switched from DVDShrink to NuMenu4u I had DVD-Rebuilder support
turned off (except I guess that one time when it worked completely)!!

However you suggestion to turn on DVD-Rebuilder support has sorted out the problem - stupid me!! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!!

My comment about the Scenarist Automate was no biggie - its an AutoIt script or something right? It just has a few problems when you are working on something else at the time it fires up. Usually recovers fine if you give back focus to it's/Scenarist window though...

The thing with DVD2AVI is annoying but thankfully it only lasts a few seconds :-) I am experimenting with Registry hacks to see if its possible to stop it stealing focus.

All looking good now... Just going to try it on a film with 600mbytes of menus to see if it cope!!

Thanks for such a great program,

Robert
