I just got an AMD Athlon 64 bit processor. Just wondering if a 64 bit Rebuilder is in the works? Would there really be much of a gain in processing time if it were done in a 64 bit environment?

I feel sorry for you but I think there will be no 64 Bit DVDRebuilder soon. First jdobbs is using a Athlon 3200+ (no 64 Bit CPU) and second no Encoder is using 64 Bit at this time. The great potential to work faster with 64 Bit will be at the encoding process. The time dvd rebuilder is using itself is short. So first you have to wait for a 64 Bit version of CCE oder Procoder!

It might be interesting to know what kind of encoding times you get with a 64 bit processor, with their high FSB it might give faster times. Especially with the 64 FX series, if that is what you are using, or the 64 bit with greater than 2.0 ghz processors, i.e. 3400 and up

SAME WITH NORMAL CPU with SSE2....
64bit instruction sets is not used on newer cce ......
I hope they make it available soon ...i've just bought an unlocked 3000+ 64bit

AMD is releasing AMD64's with SSE3 support soon also. They may already be shipping as I write this. Hopefully CCE will start to utilitize these instruction sets soon.
