Hello everyone,

Im trying to encode a Gundam Movie with AviSynth and XviD (Mobile Suit Gundam: F-91). I recently finished a pass of it and when i took a look at it i noticed that lines were shaking alot, its hard to explain without attaching a Vid file so here is a small clip (no audio tho.)

SAMPLE2.AVI (ftp://DOOM9@68.70.231.249/F91/SAMPLE2.avi)

That url might not work for long cuz its on my own FTP. I was wondering if there is maybe a filter to fix this (though i doubt it). This also isnt my fault, its all over the .Vob files also.

If there are no filters, maybe you know of another way to fix?

It looks like bad matching in the IVTC, and there's a lot of ghosting in the video as well. What is the source of this video? R1 or R2?

Sorry im not really good with all this stuff, cant tell what u mean.

I just used TMPGENc and Set to Progressive then checked Inverse Telecine and double clicked. Then press Auto-Setting and then start. DIdnt really mess with any other settings other than that in TMPGENc

So again, whats the source of the video? Is this from the US disc?

O sorry, wasnt sure what u meant. This is from the US Disc 1 of the movie. Disc 2 supposively contains a better quality version of the movie and i havent checked it but tho only thing it really talks about is 5.1 audio instead of 2.0

Interesting. Only suggestion I can think of is instead of using TMPGEnc's IVTC that you could try something like TIVTC and see if you get any better results. Cause there is something majorly wrong going on when TMPGEnc is doing the IVTC.
