I used to be able to routinely use vro files as inputs in AutGK 1.8*, but as I upgraded to 1.91, it is not recognizing any audio tracks in my files, and thus it does not let me encode. Any clues as to what I need to do?

What are VRO files? AutoGK was always working with the following extentions: mpeg,mpg,vob,m2v,ts,tp,m2t,trp. I just didn't force that because I didn't extract audio information from input files. Now I do.

Does renaming to one of those types work?

This is from filetext.com:
__________________________________________
DVD Video Recording Format streaming video file. An associated .IFO file contains the various scene and timing information. This is different from a .VOB file where that information is included in the file. Several manufacturers use .VRO/.IFO files. This is a new specification for real-time recording on DVD discs. The standard DVD specification supports only the playback function. DVD Video Recording Format has several additional functions for recording.

To make a long story short, when I record on a DVD-RAM disc in my DVD recorder, the format is vro. Since DVD-RAM is rewritable (Panasonic recorders do not take DVD-RW), it is much more convenient to record on RAM than to use-up an actual DVD-R to move from the DVD recorder to the PC to encode with AutoGK. Now I can't.... :(

I suppose I can try renaming.

Rename it to VOB and let me know if that works. If it does then I'll allow VRO extension in the next version.

I can confirm that renaming the file to vob works fine for encoding purposes. Still, it would be nice if you could add vro's to the next version. Thanks!
