I'm trying to walk my computer-neophyte friend through compressing a DVD, and he gets an error, "Run-time Error '76' Path not found". If I remember correctly he gets this error at the encode phase. I've tried to recreate the error by ripping the same DVD, and setting up DVDRB incorrectly (like pointing to notepad.exe instead of cctsp.exe), but I can't recreate it. Since the error refers to a path, I'd imagine its something simple. Searching hasn't helped since "76" doesn't meet the minimum search word length. Thanks.

Please post your rebuilder.ini content.
Please indicate the program versions you are using (RB, Avisynth, encoder, etc.)

His rebuilder.ini file:[Options]
Skin=Rockas Original
EncoderMinimized=1
CCE=3
NoWarn=1
AdditionalOutput=1
OneClick=1
Backcolor=12632256
[Audio]
Selected=
[Paths]
CCENEW=C:\Program Files\CCE SP v2.70.01.05\cctspt.exe
MPEG2DEC=C:\Program Files\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\DGDecode.dll
DECOMB=C:\Program Files\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\Decomb521.dll
Source=C:\DVD\XMEN_2ND\
Working=C:\DVD\TEMP\
Output=C:\DVD\XMEN\
[CCEOptions]
VBR_bias=10
Quality_prec=24
eclPasses=7
He's using DVDRB 0.72, AviSynth 2.55, CCE 2.70. I don't see anything wrong with his ini file, but possibly I'm missing something.

It doesn't seem to have anything wrong... unless one of those paths point to a folder that doesn't exist :)

Is the problem happening with only one DVD, or with all?
As Rockas indicated, all seems ok, but recheck the paths. Be sure to select them by browsing from the RB Setup windows.
If nothing else works, deinstall all (RB, Avisynth, CCE, plugins) and install anew using Rockas installer.

sweet, part III: rebuild works for me now too!
I think when i setup the program, i assumed the program would make a folder that i named "output" but it didnt.
So, i made a new folder with explorer, and clicked through with DVD ReBuilder, and it started to rebuild! thanks!

looks like it's possible to get this run-time error '76' also, if one tries to save a project to a dir that doesn't exist. and obviously the bad thing is that rb exits and one looses his/her settings...
and the same applies for open project. and in that case the settings saved to rebuilder.ini are lost (when rb is started next time).
obviously this is a minor issue and instead of typing the wrong path, user should select it using the dialog ;-)

t :)
