@yong
xneo is looking for 20050212 which is not on celtic's site (latest is 20050201) and what i've found on a japanese mirror is 20050204. so, if u know where is this build, pls, drop the direct link (or whatever), anyway, your references are quite useless. especially for a 'rookie' :)

@xneo
where did u find this reference ?

I don't know who compiled this but is slow like hell (at least at mpeg2 encoding CPU demand is at least double or so compared to 20050201, I only tried that before uninstalling it). Maybe isn't optimized for AthlonXP or milan/ffmpeg developers did something wrong, but I doubt that. I'll wait for a celticdruid compile.

how about this?
each ffdshow builder write changelog in installer license page.
and also write builder info... like "Compiled by John Doe"
:p

Looks like a stock MSVC7.1 compile and without MSVCP71.DLL MSVCR71.DLL included which are dependancies.

My builds are compiled with ICL and gcc. I'll put up a new build tonight probably.

I'm sure that I could probably make an even smaller compile if that was the goal.

wow... famous man, celtic_druid!
good news and i will wait for your build:D

Sirber

Speaking of ffdshow, why hasn't there been any official update on SourceForge in ages? And has Celtic Druid stopped compiling it on his site? If so, why?

Then just use celtic druid's latest build, 20050201. It works perfect for me.

Hey celtic, can you compile SSE & SSE2 optimized builds ?

Thanks !

Note: sei italiano, celtic ?

Sirber

thoses FFDShow are supposed to detect and use SSE and SSE2 automaticly.

I have athlon64,pentium4 optimized version of ffdshow.
build by dTomoyo who live in my country.
he is Unified Codec Pack builder,too.
but... he doen't release ffdshow package like ffdshow-2005xxxx.
just packed with his codec pack,UCP.

Well yes the ASM should be autodetected and enabled. Same goes for the regular code using ICL, so well at least on a P4 it should run the SSE2 code.
