I would be gratefull for any advice regarding my issue. We are going to use a computer based video recording system for recording interviews (not for permanent and prolonged video surveylance). For this purpose we are going to use video surveylance card VG4C-RT4 form Vguard.net. This company as well as some other companies which manufacture video surveylance cards suggest to use Intel CPU's with Intel chipset motherboards but we are willing to build AMD64 based computer with Nvidia nForce4 chipset motherboard. Companies which sell such cards could not give me any clear answer why other chipsets but Intel do not work well with such cards. As I understand the main reason is that there are some problems with VIA and SIS chipsets. But what are those problems I can only guess: maybe it's a problem with bandwith or maybe a problem of cheap motherboard manufacturer? Does anybody has any experience with such cards and why Intel should be better here than AMD? Thanks in advance.
