View Full Version : Bug in XviD 1.0.3-20122004 decoder?

Have just started using the the above after using XviD 1.0.1-05062004 for some 40 successful encodes (no real probs). So I haven't altered my procedure between the two XviD versions.

What is strange now, is that the XviD 1.0.3 encodes play, using the 1.0.3 decoder, with big black borders all round, as though they had not been cropped (even though they have been).

Encodes done using XviD 1.0.1 play without this problem (using the 1.0.3 decoder).

Presumably a bug in the 1.0.3 decoder?

Oops found the reason:

Using ZoomPlayer 2.90 and Custom Aspect ratio set to 2.35 rather than Source Aspect ratio.

The AVI in question was 1.85:1 AR. Other 1.85 AVIs appeared vertically squashed with Custom rather than Original set, but the one in question was squashed both horizontally and vertically (the big black margins all round) and retained its AR.
