Have just started using the the above after using XviD 1.0.1-05062004 for some 40 successful encodes (no real probs). So I haven't altered my procedure between the two XviD versions.
What is strange now, is that the XviD 1.0.3 encodes play, using the 1.0.3 decoder, with big black borders all round, as though they had not been cropped (even though they have been).
Encodes done using XviD 1.0.1 play without this problem (using the 1.0.3 decoder).
Presumably a bug in the 1.0.3 decoder?
