Is there anyone out there who knows how to go through a DV-AVI and when there is a scene change, split it into a new file.
Scene detect has to be done on video content, because the DV-AVI doesn't contain any timecode.
For DV-AVI from my DV-cam I am using the excellent program WinDV, but this is for my converted Hi8-tapes.
Thanks

Hello, and welcome to the forum.
I'm moving this to the DV forum, since you imply that you're capturing Hi8 via DV.

Premiere Pro has a scene change auto-detect function in DV-capture settings which do what you want

Many other video editors have similar functions to split by scene based on optical analysis. Scenalyzer has often been recommended, too.

I've tested scenalyzer now and it can do what I want. I've only read about it before and thought that it just could do scene detect from DV-in.
Now I can start to work with Premiere Elements.
(How could you do a program like that without a scene detect function)
Thanks
