I've a little problem with Pocket-DVD-Studio 3.1.
more info on the Homepage (http://www.pqdvd.com/index.html)

It is the only program whick copies the DVDs legal. It uses the Codecs of a installed DVD-Player (You can also select freewarecodecs).

You play the movie and Pocketdvdstudio graps the frame. The "Encoding" takes only 30% of the movielength in time. So it is realy fast.

Now the problem. It doesn't add the timestamp to the WMV-Stream.
So I have to watch the whole movie in one piece. I can't stop or or play it fastforward. If I pause I've to watch it from the beginning and this sucks, if I don't have the time to watch it in one piece.

Is there a way to add the timestamp into the WMV-file?

Solution:

Download Betaplayer from here (http://corecodec.org/frs/?group_id=9&release_id=33) and it will work.

Is this some ads for Pocket-DVD-Studio which is the "only" legit DVD ripper since it uses player codecs?

1.Xvid or divx is better solution for VGA Pocketpc.
2.Wmv (in betaplayer with i2700g opti.) don't work on popular Dell axim x50v.
3.Xvid is better quality then wmv - look Codec shoot-out 2004 = http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/codecs-104-1.htm - it means Xvid is better solution for QVGA Pocketpc too.

My old 486DX2 66mhz results:
1.5h movie - encoding time: 3 weeks. "So it is realy fast."

Very important thing: CPU speed. Remember this.
