I'm capturing from analogue cable TV and everything works fine - picture is normally interleaced and less or more noisy (depending on the channel), but on one channel there's strange pattern visible all the time (see attached image).
What is this? How can I deal with such noise?
edit:
OK, here is captured frame instead of attachment:

looks like some kind of interference. Try the usual, i.e. well schielded cables, all metal connectors, grounding, keep your PC case closed etc. etc.
rarely, changing the tuning frequency a small bit helps.
If that does not help, you are left with filtering the capture afterwards. IIRC there is a filter by Fizzick that is usefull for this, forgot which one (try a forum search)

I tried to do something about cable <-> PC connection, but without any luck - interference is still there for this one channel. Changing frequency makes it even worse so I think I'll try those filters. Thanks!
