Subtitles problem with Nero Recode

Have you noticed that Nero vobsub subtitles are very ugly comparared with Gabest ones? Is it a fault of my video card or a Recode problem? (i find quite useless the option in the configuration menu)

Another question. In the small preview window of Nero Recode you can select audio track by right clicking on the video preview, this is very useful sometimes..But WHY the subtitles option is always gray (i.e. I can choose nothing)?? Do you have this problem too?

I haven't checked but I remember someone said that subs look better with latest update than before (IIRC Skuto said that). How it looks has nothing to do with Recode, since we just take the vobsub stream as it is from VOB, so it depends on subtitle rendering how it looks like.

Thank you, John V, I will check it.. Now my ADSL is not working so I can't download the upgrade package. However is a good new Recode don't recompress vobsubs, so I can encode without worrying about that, only waiting for the new Showtime.

In meantime, does anybody know if the latest version of Showtime shows "good-looking" subtitles?

I just downloaded the last version of Nero Recode and still Nero Digital subtitles looks bad, so I will add to my personal Nero Recode wish list a good filter to show smoother vobsubs an to resize them..
