View Full Version : Out of sync audio

Problem Description is:
The device and software successfully records video player and sound (running from a video player scart AV output line to input on the TV Card, the same with audio) on a composite input setting.
I am attempting to convert VHS tape to MPG (and then on to DVD).
Viewing the MPG file on hard disk, the video quality and sound quality are good, however the sound is always fractionally out of sync with the picture (0.25 sec estimate by what appears to be the same amount throughout the film).
This is true even when viewing on different software such as PowerDVD and when the file is converted and burnt in DVD format and played on a normal DVD player.
I presume this is during the actual Capture process as the Live mode is precise.
I have tryed altering bitrate, frames per sec (which keeps reverting to 25 - is this standard PAL format?), capture quality, audio source and audio format, though being new to this, although I have a good idea what these options change, though not an expert.
Nothing solves the problem.
