Hi all

I'm trying to compile a dvd with several episodes from a popular serie.

I have both the video files (avi's encoded with ac3-amc) and the subtitles ( srt's ).

I'd like to know how can i create a dvd with a menu where i can choose wich episode i want to see (the subtitle choosing dosen't need to have a menu).

I've already tried with "nero vision express" but there is no subtitle option.
Note - built in subtitles are not an option

Thanks in advance

What a great question!

What a shame there is no answer, I certainly would like to know which Application we can use to perform this.

The only thing I can find is to use something like Scenarist.

Otherwise the only option I can see available to us, is to forget about using menus, as you have obbviously realised also

Each episode on its own track, will give you a episode selection, in the main menu. You can even set in chapters, so you can have some control over viewing.

As for subtitles, earlier versions of TDA did not handle subtitle tracks, but I think their latest version does.

Re-jig, does handle subtitle tracks and can create a video vob file system, that shrink can read

Thanks for the info,

TDA still doesnt do subtitles.

Found this application TheFilmMachine which does the job of transcoding several AVIs at once, using CCE. adding subtitles, and authoring.

Its pretty good, except that it cant do a detailed menu, which you want if doing a multi episode disk
