This is just a note to all TMPGEnc users, there is a new plug-in available that allows you to open a whole whack of different files, including M2V and VOB.

The web site (Japanese, sorry, I can't read it either!) is:

www.marumo.ne.jp/mpeg2

The filename is m2v_vfp-0.6.51.lzh (includes English docs and source code)

Hopefully this is an improvement on TMPGEnc's internal reader!
The earlier version I had would lock up my computer. This one doesn't
and I opened a VOB file to check it. It doesn't seem to grab the audio, and I haven't tried with a VOB with multiple audio or subtitles, but WTF.

It would be nice if someone had a site with mulitple plug-ins we could access instead of searching all over the world wide wait...

The only good thing TMPGEnc Xpress has over TMPGEnc Plus is that it can out put multiple files into a single file. Other than that, stick with the Plus version, it's much more versatile...

i wish i could find a tool where i could add a lot of batch encodes ie like a dvdr of family clips and have it run thru the older ver. But i got a home bussness i make them dumb video movies for familys and stuff and picture dvds with music that is requested. I like 3 becasuse i can add a lot of video all at once pick the output for all the clips then outtput them into seprete files or 1 long movie (finshing touches). but if you know of one id love to have it hehe
