What is this disabled field in the Gknot under subtitles.
is it possible to include subs in avi files which can be disabled/enabled during playback ( - vobsub)

This field is disabled because it's only available for .ogm or .mkv(matroska) output.
With these 2 containers, you can indeed select a srt file that's switchable on and off in playback .
To do the same thing in .avi, you can use avimuxGUI, which is not part of GK. (GK uses VDubMod)

You can now do this with the .divx format
There is a tool and guide in the SDK which can be found on the labs (http://labs.divx.com/)
Here is the SDK (http://download.divx.com/labs/DivXMediaConsumerSDK.zip)

If someone wants to update GK that would be nice too...

Sorry for my late reply.
I have just downloaded the SDK . I got to try it.
I used vobsub to display subs for my recent movies.
The problem with me is that i have a slow network connection.
