I seem to remember heaving read somewhere in these forums that AUTOGK does not support subtitles from external subtitle files. Is this true? Will this change with the new releases of the program?

I have just downloaded a subtitle file off the internet for a DVD that did not contain any subtitles and would like to somwhow incroportate it (hard-burn it) into the DIVx avi file that I produced using AUTOGK. Any suggestions for how I can do that?

I used to use GKnot and I think there's a way to do this using it but don't remember how -- can anybody help?

FAQ Q 3.8

And you burn subs into already made AVI without reencoding.

Thanks Lenox!

It worked beautifully! I had to re-encode, though, because I couldn't figure out how to use my .avi file as source. The "file input" option seems to only allow "mpeg2 video files" and would not let me choose the .avi file. What did I miss?
