wmv9 question

hi guys, i´ve a question to you:

i´ve been making some tests, with my gaming videos´s avis and i´ve been noticing one thing:

when im compressing on virtual dub with wmv 9 on One-pass CBR with 300000 bps its like 170 mbs, when i compress with 350000 bps its +30 mbs , and so on, but i dont notice any quality improvement at all, the parts around the in-game text are pixelated, and it doesnt disappear even if i put 400000 bps( 225 mbs +- ),im using 100 on smoother motion- sharper image and better quality bar on max;

does buffer size increase anything?

anyone has noticed this?

whats the resolution you are using? 2-pass would be better in any case, though...

im using 640 x 480

now im gonna sleep and test it on two pass :p

your bitrate is a bit low for you resolution... i think it should probably be 5 times what you are using now :rolleyes:

i was not using 300000 but 3000000 bps, sorry

any idea?
