Hi all,

I've learned quite a bit since stumbling across these forums, so many thanks!

I do, however, have a newb issue which I was hoping for some direction on. I recently picked up a 300-disc dvd player (pioneer dv-f727). I can hook up a keyboard and enter a title for any given DVD, or use the on screen display if necessary. I tend to feed in 10 or more DVD's at a time.

I've noticed that some dvd's that I have burned will register a title automatically, and I don't need to do so manually. My goal is to be able to burn my dvd's in a way that this will happen automatically all of the time.

I'd assume that this is extracted from the "title" that one can create for a dvd. I use Nero 6 (6.6 I believe, oh and winxp pro sp2, msi 4x burner) to burn. Usually, I use nero express, but the title and artist tracks are greyed out. I don't seem to have any title/artist fields to edit when launching the full program.

I feel as though I missed something (aka I feel stupid asking) but any tips would be great. thanks to you all.

bbt

If burning your own compilations in Nero Express using the "DVD Video" option, you should be able to specify a volume label.

If burning DVD image files, you might want to try DVD Decrypter.
Set Mode to ISO Write, browse for your image file and select "Change Volume Label" from the ISO section of the Tools menu.
