Good Day,
Feel free to direct me to the appropriate forum if this one is incorrect.
I'm wondering if the idea rolling around in the back of my mind is currently feasable, so I'll just present it here and ask if anyone knows of a relatively painless way to do this.
I currently have an R1 disc which I want to extract the subtitles from and place them within the existing vobstructure of an R2(NTSC) disc. Both video contents are identical in length and timing, the only difference is the original R2 is signifigantly better quality. I have the R2 disc in ISO format, which currently has about 1.5GB of free space for a standard DL disc, and I was wondering if there was an easy way to just inject the subtitles from the R1 disc into the existing structure of the R2, via a remux or something similar.
Unfortunaltely I'm completely unfamilliar with DVD reauthoring at this level, and was hoping for an answer telling me if this is feasable or not. I don't want to do any compression/reencoding/modifications to the R2 source, so I figure this must be a relatively straight forward process that is just sorely undocumented.
Gizmo.
