Hi. I want to reauthor one of my SVCD's but can't copy the avseq.mpg files to my harddrive though i'm using ISOBUSTER with the proper "EXTRACT but filter only M2F2 Mpeg frames" -setting. Neither can i use vcdGear with "fix mpegErrors" ticked. Now what happens is that it reports a hughe amount of Sector read-errors and just ends up with a total crash.::angry: Anyone knows 'bout a workaround or is the Disc itself lost 4ever? Have a NEC ND3500A burner/WinXp pro.
/Thx

i tried to do that with a bunch of my daughters vids i did to svcd ( she was brutal the the cds) .. waste of time.. only recovered a few.. had to pull out the originals and just do them again. try iso buster and just pull it all out (not just m2f2 mpeg frames) usually wont get too far since your cd/dvd reader will have a harder time reading it.. but if it succeeds you may have more usable data

i would suggest going back to the original. if its something that is 1 time deal (like a wedding or birthday footage) then you may be in trouble. hopefully someone else has a suggestion.

Yep, they usually are:=)(brutal to the CD's) That's why i handed over a mp3 player each to my 2 daughters. Hope they'll leave me in peace now, lol. As for the SVCD's, just as i thought. Probably got to get back to the origs. Thx anyway for your reply:)

I have been succesfull recovering video from svcd with Nero and "save track". It took many time but worked better than Isobuster.

This way you get a .nrg file, but rename this to .dat and thatīs all. This is because .dat file fills completely this track, and all data belongs to this file.

Hope this helps
