Hi, I'm a beginer to the Recode. I use Avisynth as the frameserver for the Nero Recode. Now the problem is I can not make two audio tracks within it. Concequencely the final mp4 file only can contain one audio. So is there any one can help me out? And I also wonder can a two audio track file be played by the QuickTime Player? Thanks million in advance!:D

The second stream always turns out as 0 kb in Showtime, mp4UI and it isn't working in anything else I've tried. This is a bug of some sort that needs to be corrected. By the way, is two audio tracks in Nero Recode following the ISO MPEG-4 standard? If not, then that might be why it isn't working as it should.

Besides, if only two have it, then it's a reason enough for doing something about :) I've tried it from DVD sources, and avi sources with two audio tracks created by myself in VirtualDubMod. Neither works :( Is the two audio tracks in Nero Recode MPEG-4 ISO compliant? I read somewhere on Doom9 that it wasn't. Do you want me to upload a sample? I think I know what the problem is: by default, when importing a two audio tracked file, the second audio compression settings is on none. When changing to the audio stream, I don't think the Nero Recode 2 GUI recognizes or acknowledges the change in setting, therefore, the resulting output becomes a 0 kb for the second audio stream. Well, that's just my guess anyway :)

Both were set to "maximum definition" mode.... if that makes a difference?

If you have problems producing 2 audio streams even from DVD source, I'll send ftp address to your private message where you can upload a sample and I'll check it out.

So you want a sample or what? It's exactly 2.6 mb in size. Give me an adress and I'll send it right away. DVD source or not, they outcome exactly the same, with only one audio stream working. Trust me, I've tried both sources. No difference whatsoever.

Maybe the combination your selecting b0rks the muxing somehow!

Check your PM for addy for uploading. Well, I'll send you one from an avi source now, and I'll try from DVD source later. But trust me, last time I tried from one of my DVD sources, it just didn't work. I'll check my PM now, and I'll try again with a DVD source later.

ANIMATRIX multiaudio, multisub and chapter (http://jfl1974.free.fr/Video/Animatrix-AVC.mp4)
KBV2 anamorphic, multiaudio, multisub and chapter (http://jfl1974.free.fr/Video/KBV2.mp4)
You must use:
- Last Recode Build for encoding
- Nero Showtime Player for playing
- "Nero certified" hardware player

- "Nero certified" hardware player None of this works. Not even showtime. And it is the latest Recode building. Trust me guys, this isn't a n00b-mistake, it's a bug. It may work for some people, or maybe most users of latest Recode 2, but not for everyone :(

Just tried using Recode2 to generate a short encode with 2No 2Ch AAC-LC audio tracks at 160Kbps and everything still works for me...
I then used mp4UI to de-mux all the streams out of the .MP4 container. And AVI-mux to re-mux the streams into the .AVI container... And the file played perfectly in MediaPlayer Classic.
I then used AVI-mux to de-mux all the streams from ou of the .AVI container and mp4UI to re-mux them back into the .MP4 container... Again once again the file player back perfectly!
One thing I noticed again, is that ShowTime player can't detect AAC audio streams within .AVI container :(
EDIT: Both of Sagittaire's encodes worked for me too. So it sounds like some of your system files may be b0rked Elias
Cheers

It doesn't play any sound? Does it at least show english and french selectable for you?

It may work for some people, or maybe most users of latest Recode 2, but not for everyone :( What I meant here, was that it doesn't work encoding to an mp4 file with two audio tracks if I use the latest nero recode or latest showtime to play them up with. Sagittaire's clips worked as they should. But I still can't encode a proper mp4 file with two audio tracks :(
