DVD Shrink AEC question

Hi,

I tend to use DVD shrink when a film is small enough to not need to much compression (otherwise I use DVD-RB with CCE).

Anyway, I know the best way is probably to back up several dvds with both settings, but I was wondering if there is a general opinion over what is best out of Sharp AEC and Smooth AEC.
