hey guys Iam having a new prob with Scenarist. I have never seen this error before. I get it when i try to create the dvd after the import
Error Bit rate are different between "AC3 Audio "VTS__01_P01-81-JAPANESE.d""(384000) and "VTS__01_P02-81-JAPANESE.d"(192000).
Error The Audio Attribute(Language, coding mode and so on) in PGC<VTS_01_PGC_02pgc>:Stream<1>:Title<VTS01_Title01> is different from The Reference PGC<VTS_01_PGC_01pgc>
Error PreCheck From DB failed
Error DVD files could not be created
Any clues ? Thanks

weird.. implies the original dvd had ac3 streams with different bitrates on the same stream number (0x81) i suppose you could fix that by making the second ac3 for pgc 02 to 384 kbps and reimporting it. what dvd is this? i wonder if the stream is rerouted in the ifo.. because its not proper to have different bitrate sounds on the same stream. can you paste the ifo summary here?

If this is a scenaid script then it's very possible to have that problem....
Many dvd's violate dvd standard and have different bitrates / lfe flags etc... Scenaid doesn't force to one setting but instead sets what the ac3 file is..
You can "trick" Scenarist by modifying the .SCP and setting all audio to the same bitrate/lfe/channels etc... Scenarist ignores the audio properties and assumes the script is correct

Well I might be hijacking this thread but ok:
D3S7: could you implement a check on this? If bitrate between track is different within the same title adjust the scp so that they match ?
/me would be grateful :)

Yeah.. one is planned although I'm not quite sure how i'm going to end up doing it...
The way it is now was actually done intentionally to make the user realize that the dvd/audio isn't complient and while yes, hacking the script works, there might be something better :)
more then likely i'll put in some override to auto correct but still make the user at least see it..
dunno yet... but I"m open to suggestions
