Best way for AAC

Well I know 2 ways to make .aac/.mp4 files from .ac3.
What is the best method.
There's no point in using a method when there is a better way of doing it. So go for the best 1st time.

Depends who you ask, which is one of the reasons we have a rule against asking what's best.

However I'd say the two easiest and most successful methods are using BeSweet/bsn.dll to transcode to Nero AAC via commandline or one of the BeSweet GUIs, or using foobar2000 to transcode to AAC via FAAC.

or decode to .wav and then encode to aac with itunes/quicktime. apple's aac codec is the best at 128kbps
