First I want to say that I have been using DVD Decrypter for some time now and love it!! I have come upon an error tonight though. I was trying to rip the movie Amistad. I have checked the disc and there seems to be no scratches or errors.

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling DVD Decrypter (Yes I'm using the most up to date version 3.5.2.0).

Error message:

"I/O Error!

When I click Abort my log states:

The progress indicator always stops at 39%.

I also tried updating my driver for the drive, no newer ones. I have also ripped many movies with this same drive with no problems. (My computer setup remains the same as well). The only thing different is that tonight I updated my MB Bios because I am going to get a faster processor installed. But the drive works fine on everythng else (DVDs, CDs, Data CDs). Also, this drive is SATA.

Thanks in advance for your insight!!

Andy

I get this every now and then and I have an LG burner, it usually occurs when I put in a DVD and try to start DVD Decrypter. If I re-boot with the DVD in the drive, it's usually okay.

I was told by LG service that windows sp2 will overwrite some of the drivers and to go into the task manager, remove the drive and reboot, allowing windows to "find" it again and re-install the correct drivers.

It also happens to me when I am burning a DVD, and THIS is leaking me off no end, as I get a coaster and have to start over.

This is the only time that it has happened to me. And I have used this DVD drive to rip at least 20 movies before with no problems.
