No sound (AC3) [Archive]

I have Test.avi and Test.ac3, I am muxing them togather in VirtualDub Mod (useing streams), but when I do there is no sound at all. On the other hand, If I play the ac3 in WinAmp, it sounds fine... anyone know whats going on?

I guess you have to ask the video cracks from the other section of this board, because the AC3 file seams to be obviously okay. :o
What player software do you use? Is it possible that this player doesn´t support AC3 or will need a further directshow filter?
Checkout MediaPlayer Classic (includes AC3 support) :rolleyes:

I know that that is not the problem, because I have other videos with ac3 in them and they play fine. I use BSPlayer or WM Player, and I have ac3 filter. I am so confused!

Suggestion:
1. try AVIGUI (http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~noe/Video-Zeug/AVIMux%20GUI/index-eng.html) for muxing
2. use beslice (+ besplit) to fix your AC3 (simple drag'n'drop the file over the old man :D :D - sorry DSPGuru ;) )
