A friend asked me to back up a DVD for him. When he plays the back-up on his 1998 Sony DVD player (standalone player), he gets an error message about wrong geographic region (plays fine on my players). Given that I burned the DVD as region free, this puzzles me.
Any ideas (or, since this must be covered somewhere, any suggestions on how best to search or a better forum in which to post)?
