chroma noise on B/W

Some black and white film DVD's have been taken from PAL composite material and have cross colour effects in the video. Is there a way to turn off the chroma in ifo's or other files. If you are using RGB input there is no way to turn this off via TV. Some tv's do convert RGB input to YUV internaly so you can control colour gain, most dont. Can anyone help.
