I am playing with a program called DVD2One Audio Remaster. I am sure folks here have heard of it...see http://www.eximius.nl/dvdaudio.php
It makes 96/24 streams and muxes it with dummy video to play on a DVD. Question I have is how to demux the 96/24 WAV file. I tried LPCM 24 but that did not work. Any ideas? just want to see the wave file

Use PgcDemux. See my sig.

PCGDemux needs an IFO file ... what can we do if we just have the VOB file. I have a music videoclip VOB with audio at 24 bits playable with PowerDVD but not with Media Player Classic. If I extract the 0xA0 PCM stream with vStrip, Adobe Audition (Cool Edit Pro) doesn't understand the format. Which software could I use?
Saludos!

Create the IFOs with IFOEdit. AFAIK, IFOedit detectes the 24 bits and creates the IFOS OK.

Hola Jesús,
Before I read your answer, I had already converted the PCM to WAV using the tool LPCM24 from this page:
http://www.rarewares.org/others.html
Thanks anyway.

@Black Hole,
Could you upload such a vob (25 frames or so)?

With a litte bit of patience (the site is bandwidth limited) you can download this test DVD, or a part of it:
Notes:
"Unknown Sample Rate" in IFOEdit means 96kHz
VTS06 is a mpeg 2 multichannel (5.1) not an mpeg2-ext nor a mpeg1L2 (as it is wrongly stated in the still video).

BTW,
- wav20 (in my site) allows to convert from/to 8/16/20/24 bits wav (truncating or adding zeroes)
- Muxman supports muxing (and PgcDemux supports demuxing) of any kind of LPCM...

@ jsoto
thx for that link and above all thx for your great tool collection
I have one request and one bug report.
Could you enable PgcDemux to also output LPCM to raw (optional) so that I could use Twen for 20bit lpcms (not that your wav20 isnt working - but I'd like to have an "alternative" :p )
On a VOB with LPCM (stereo 16bit @ 48kHZ) and AC3, PgcDemux fails to demux the audio streams:
Using the original .ifo I get this:
"Input error: Reached end of VOB too early"
Created files are nearly empty (=quite small).
Using a new .ifo created by IfoEdit I get nothing (PgcDemux buttons locked, PGC selection empty).

I have to say no. But you already have an alternatuive: Twen works fine with the raw output produced by some rippers

Seems it is not a bug of pgcDemux, but a bad input material. I can check the IFOs if you sent them to me. Zip the files and email to:

@planet1
Thanks, I got the files, but the IFO does not match with the VOB (obviously, because the VOB is a part of the full VOB set)
So, I've created a new IFO with IFOEDIT, and everything works fine...
Trying to guess,
PgcDemux uses the info stored in IFO and trust all the pointers to the cells. May be you have a bad IFO?. A good test is to do an IFOEdit's mock strip on your material and try to demux after.

mhh, creating a new .ifo with ifoedit (0.971) doesnt help here :(
what IfoEdit version did you use, and what were the basic steps ?
jsoto

I've created a new IFO on the VOB you uploaded and it works!. Using Ifoedit 0.971, but I'm pretty sure it will also work with other versions.
How to do a mock strip, check here:

thx jsoto working now
I was always using the "Get VTS sectors" button only, but now PgcDemux works on the new .ifo and .vob.
Btw PgcDemux gave me no delay info on the demuxed ac3 (?? lpcm ??), but DGindex used to report a delay for ac3 with the original VOB.
jsoto

On your VOB, pgcDemux gives me:
0xA0 (lpcm) --> -258 msec.
0x81 (ac3) --> -120 msec.
I do not have DGIndex installed.
But DVD2AVIdg110 gives me -120 msec in ac3 too.
