don't know if this "visual" enough but it's good start. dvd-replica (http://www.dvd-replica.com/DVD/index.php)
and you can use PGCEdit which has a trace mode that will also help you understand DVD structure.
and i guess you can post any problems you have here. lots of people willing to help.

Hi
Thanks for reply, haven't visited this site for a long time. The Info is nice and will read. Is it possible to to get DVD-Lab to reconstruct a project from a existing DVD ? If so I'll buy it because I beleave it would give me the visual aid I'm looking for.

PS I do own a copy of DVD-Replica.

Good for you! You're in business!
What do you mean "reconstruct a project from an existing DVD"? Do you mean, reauthor (change what's there, how the DVD plays)? Anyway, I'm not too sure, I've never used DVD-Lab.

Pick up a small DVD which is smaller than 3GB (children, documentary, special interest, etc., definitely not 2hr+ movies) will work well for starter projects.
If you want to reauthor or learn commercial DVD projects with DVD-Lab, try to stay away from the following discs having the following features, since DVD-Lab (even Pro version) currently does not support.

1. DVDs having PGC cell commands.
2. DVDs having multi video angles.
3. DVDs with text and jacket information.
4. DVDs with PTT mapping (chapters in different PGCs).
5. DVDs with multiple PGCs per title (DVD-Lab/Pro restricts one PGC per title, correct me if I am wrong).
6. DVDs with parental control.
7. DVDs with multiple programs per chapter.
Anybody else wants to add something here...

Good luck,
