AVI file will not convert or preview with AVI2SVCD 1.2.1 build 2

This is my first post on this forum so treat me gently.

Usually find the answer to my questions on this forum but have looked all over the forum for a similar thread but could not find anything

Usually don't have a problem converting from avi to SVCD or DVD but one particular avi file is causing me trouble.

When loaded and I try to proview i get "Avisource:could not decompress frame. then makes reference to a preview.avs file.

Have tried using the latest versions of DVD2SVCD and AVISYNTH but this hasn't helped.

File does play without any problems with windos media player

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum.

For answers that may help firstly try the "AVI2*** fails..." sticky at the top of the forum.

If this doesn't sort things out, put "avisource" in the search box at the foot of the forum index and press go.

This has been covered before and I'm sure you'll find your answers.
