Hi guys!
I'm a real newbie in these things!!! I wanted to add subtitles in my language to Collateral movie(NTSC)!I used your guide, but I stuck now!I'm using DVDLab PRO and this program allows me to add only one video stream, but I have 4 !!! I can add only first stream! If I try to add the others it shows me:
ERROR: name of file
Cause: Not a 11172-2 or 13818-2 Video Stream
If this is a capture from TV it may have missing/wrong header
Please go to Tools and try to Fix Stream headers on the file

It says I can't ignore this error!
Please help!I followed guide step by step!Even in IfoEdit it allows me to add only one Video Stream at once! How I can stick it togethet, when it has only one audio stream and 4 video streams?

Thanks for reply!!!

Todays system are usually made for only one video stream.
Subtitles usually don't come as video streams, but either as a special (simple) picture stream (ie in MPEG-2 like DVDs) or as a text stream (ie SRT files or MPEG-4 timed text etc).

I don't know that program, but from the name and the "13818-2 Video Stream" it seems it is for creating a DVD. For this it will need to make or import a MPEG-2 picture stream. It could do so from the original VOBs, some vobsub, a proprietary format like maestro's or screnarist's or render from a text stream, like in the case of MaestroSBT that converts SSA text to maestro picture format for later use in maestro DVD authoring.

First, you need to know what file format your program accepts as subtitle input. If there is no option to add subtitles, you obviously need to use another program to make a DVD with subs.

I think this TOP 2 and 3 STICKIES should deal with your problem

1 movie 1 videostream with dvdlab pro(and all other progs).
If U have trailers u must add another movie to the menu(at least) if the trailers are "on chain"(the first follows the second and so on) or add as many movies as trailers. The structure of the becoming dvd will be dealt by the proggy as long as the menu(s) point(s) to those streams. Do I explain myself or , maybe, your prob is another one?

Please specify what the problem was and yes U may convert to PAL with Canopus or another prog but U won't achieve the very same quality unless U convert from the original(not shrinked) movie. In this last case the quality will be ok.

O.K.,so I followed this guide:

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=83566

And I had many problems, but almost of them I fixed already!!!
Now I have just 1 main problem!
When I added video stream, above the film strip is it's time!
But problem is the time isn't continuos, what means ex.movie is 2 hours long, but time is O.K. till movie lenght is 00.59.59 after it shows again
ex. 00.07.04 but it should be 01.07.04 !

Anyway when I play movie in Power DVD,everything seems to be allright till, that moment! In that moment subtitles gone crazy!Don't match the movie frame!!

Do you have some advice for it?

Which probs and how did U fix them

Try to explain this once again, slowly and with plenty of words: I don't understand what U mean

Update to the last files of DVD lab as stated in the pinned(DVDLab will work with hexadecimal values, i.e. vobs will have the same amount of data like any other prog)
Use tools and rewrite gop time code.

Thanks man,it works!
Don't worry about previous mistakes I did, because I was just stupid and didn't read the guide so carefully! For that reason is useless to post it here again, what was once correctly wrote in the guide!!

Don't you know,by some chance,if you demux movie in DVD Decrypter and you get Video, audio and subtitles stream/where you can edit that subtitle stream? It's such a strange file like ex. VTS_01_1 - 0x21 - Subtitle - Espaņol - [SP 02~ W-L] - DELAY 24357ms.SUB

I tried to edit it in many of subtitles software, but unsuccesfully!!!
Could you advice,if is possible and how, keep old subtitles from DVD and add 1 new one's?

Thanks for help!!!

You can't do anything with subtitle streams demuxed using dvddecrypter.

Regarding Q2: Check the stickies at the top of this forum, one thread describes what you want to do ...

Sorry for the absolutely misleading error I made above.

I don't think it can helps me! I gave up work with DVD Decrypter(because I had too many problems there)and tried to focus more on VOB/IFO Edit !
But I'm stuck on this one problem: How to convert .sup files to another?
I know, thereis the same question in the forum and answer is use the search button!!! I did it and find just one advice with this guide:
http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ccguide.htm

Unfortunately it didn't work for me!!

Next problem I had in DVD Decrypter when I wanted to have just 1 vob file for whole movie!I set copy stream and I did it,unfortunately most of programs couldn't read it!!!!(ex. DVDLab Pro nor Subtitle workshop)!
Is there any other way how to make for ex.from 4 VOB files on DVD 1 Vob file on HD?

Thanks for help!!!

Sorry for the absolutely misleading typo I made in my previous posting. Subtitles demuxed in dvddecrypter can't be used for anything.

Rip them using vsrip (vobsub package) into idx/sub format. You can run OCR on these to obtain text-based subs or convert them to .sup files suitable for authoring in ifoedit.

Alternatively, use vobedit for demuxing into .sup format.

Steve.
