Jerky Video

Hello. I recently converted an .avi file to an svcd. When I play the SVCD using PowerDVD on my computer, the movie is all jerky. I don't encounter this problem with the original .avi file, so I presume I did something wrong while encoding. Any advice?

Only that in the "AVI2*** fails at some point" sticky at the top of the forum.

PPS - There is a search button in the bottom corner of the page. If you'd put "jerky video" into that search box, you'd have found dozens of threads addressing your problem. Please bear that in mind in future :)

Hello. Thanks for the welcome and apologies for not searching first. I looked at the "Avi 2..." sticky, and I just have one question. After all the adjustments it gives, it says preview video. How do you do that, the only option I have is to view a still picture?

Sorry, yeah, the preview is a still picture.
But if you get an Avisynth error, it appears in the preview window as red text on a black background.

If you are actually getting a picture in preview, the conversion should work.
