I have a question for you all since you guys more than likely know way more about this than I. I had DVD Shrink 3.2 and decrypter running on my computer and was copying dvd's fine until I had to use system restore to fix a computer problem. I restored it back to basically when it was new and now when trying to copy a dvd, I get an I/O error. It says something like "cannot copy disk...copy protection error...result of I/O error" Any ideas whats wrong? Thanks!

So what happens when you rip with DVD Decrypter?
Anyways, here's a recent thread at the offical DVD Shrink forum for you to peruse through.

I'm finding out what it does right now actually. So far so good with decrypter, but its still odd that it wouldn't do it just in shrink

DVD Shrink's main purpose in life is to shrink or transcode. It never was highly reliable for ripping and with the end of its development, it's not doing so well with the new copy protection of Sony's arccos. DVD Decrypter main purpose is to rip and its constantly being updated to challenge new copy protections. At the end, which tool would make you sleep better? That's why I always rip with DVD Decrypter. ;)
Note: Even the author, dvdshrink, recommended that DVD Decrypter be used for problematic DVDs.

It ripped the movie into the files and everything. Then I opened shrink, and did the open files feature, tried to backup from there, and still did not work. This is getting kind of frustrating

What disk is it?
Is there a "running man" or the like?
