dvd shrink 3.2 error message

earlier today burned a dvd
fine no problem, all in 24 minutes.
(rip, encrypt/ encode, burn.)

using dvd shrink, dvd encrypter, nero 6.

decided to burn another dvd.

after analysis, initial copying to hdd beging to take place,
but after five or ten seconds
get an error
message and process stops bang, dead:

dvd shrink message reads
quote
dvd shrink encountered an error. programming error, exception occured
unquote

i uninstalled dvd shrink 3.2, rebooted, and reinstalled dvd shrink 3.2.

tried to burn again and same message came up.

please advise.

thanks. learned a few tricks. but was able earlier to follow faqs (great for us newbys) on dvd shrink and used 'dvd encrypt' first and then reauthored in dvd shrink to burn the movie only. could have been dirty disk. i ordinarily like to burn/ back up complete dvd. but that is not terribly important.

did't think of cleaning disk as the dvd encrypter solution made sense.

will adjust dvd shrink preferences though.

all's i know is i was able to solve that problem, and am now
ready for tomorrow's challenges.

will reinstall dvd shrink again for safety.

then shut down for the night.
