View Full Version : NuMenu4U skipping encoding?

I am trying to reduce the menu for blackhawk down, its 434mb. After NuMenu4u demuxes the asset (74 in all), analyzes the video, creates the avs files it skips the encoding and goes directly to the scenarist script import. After examining these avs files, I find that they are all only 240 frames in length. Is there a minimum size the video has to be to be re-encoded?
Also under the encoder tab options there is a "Assets per ECL file" option and it is set to 50. Does this need to be increased to handle a dvd like this one? What exactly does this option do?
Thanks

there is a setting yes of "minimum frames" however i believe the default set is like 10 or 12.....
that other setting you mentioned specifies how many assets per ecl to be written. Some people have experienced problems with CCE if there's more then say 30 avs's loaded into cce at once
Is this th eonly movie you've experienced this problem on?

I have found this error - it was a dumb syntax error, but it meant certain assets were labelled as no_reencode. Fixed now.
A new build is forthcoming either tonight or tomorrow.

This is the first dvd that I have found that has that many video assets to be encoded. I will wait for the new build. Thanks

I thought I had messed something up, then I read this thread. When will we see the new build?
