Q31: How can I make the background of the Permanent Subtitles Transparent?
A: Choose a number between 0-15 in the background blend column. 0=Invisible 15=Solid. 7 would be a good choice for gray transparency
I made a VCD of the "Drunken Monkey" (region "3") DVD movie I bought with DVD2SVCD using the suggested numbers "7" and "0" values. The first time I used value "15" and subtitles are enclosed in a visible rectangular gray background. I have tried two other number values (7 and 0) to make the gray background go away but it is still very much visible and covering the picture.
Is there another way to make the subtitle rectangular gray background disappear or what might I have done wrong? It would be nice if the subtitles are just outlined texts for easy reading and not (also) with a rectangular gray background that covers a sizable portion of the picture.
Thanks very much for any advice. :)
My specs. if it would help;
