I have just finish to reencode a dvd9 to dvd 5 in using Scenarist NT & The big 3
The final structure of the dvd works when I play it with power dvd
Then I burn it in a dvd 5
When I play it in my standalone i have the starting message, then i have the sequence with horse (metropolitan start) and normaly i should have the menu of dvd but in my standalone reading of dvd stop it. I must press my menu button to go to it
What can i do solve this probleme ?

Try a mock strip - of the menu VOBs first, I would think.

BTW: Does the project open OK in PgcEdit?

Blutach,
Just out of curiosity, why do you think a mock strip could help? I'm just puzzled as to what can cause a DVD to play fine on the PC, but not on a standalone (I'm sure there can be 1000s of reasons). I can only thing of VTS sectors, but I'm sure there's much more...

@jeanl

Yes, the Get VTS Sectors is the main thing, but given he has done a full author, I just wonder whether it's worth spending 10 minutes on a full mock strip.

I'd start with the VTSM of your main menu. (eg VTS_01_0.VOB).

Is there a mean to be sure that your standalone plays correctly your burned dvd ?

Yes, buy the cheapest no-name standalone player you can find, it'll probably play just about anything. :)

Whereas Sony players, like the one I got, and also some players from other highly profiled brands are known to choke on DVD structures which are not 100 % compliant to the standards.
