View Full Version : Encoding Subs with TMPGEnc Problem

Yes, this might belong in the TMPGEnc forum as well but what the hell.

I have a video in a matroska container with Video (xvid), Audio (AAC) and a Subtitle stream (VobSuB? it was un-extractable with mkvextract).

I re-encoded the audio to allow TMPGEnc to recognize it, but during the startup of the encoding process, the subtitles did not appear.

I had to open the VobSub icon in the taskbar (while the encoding was in process!) de-select the override placement flag, click apply, and then reverse the process. Then, suddenly, the subtitles appeared in the encoding process.

This is a bit of a nuisance since it eliminates my ability to do batch encoding, as the second file will again be without subs.

Any ideas?

BTW, this problem occurred with both TMPGEnc and TMPGEnc Express, which worked flawlessly with a separate srt subs file for a previous encoding.
