I am attempting to rip the Smallville Season 1 DVD to mpeg and store on my PC's hard disk. I am using DVD Decrypter in ifo mode to extract the PGC that contains all 4 episodes. The extract works fine, however the audio that is associated with the ripped file contains the producer's commentary instead of the "normal" audio for the episodes. I would appreciate any suggestions as to how to resolve the audio issue.

did you enable stream processing while ripping with dvddecrypter or how do you figure that only the comentary is included??

I did not enable stream processing. I just used the default.
I don't know that only the commentary stream was included, but when I play the ripped file that is the only audio that plays.

This is only a guess: Perhaps you have multiple audio tracks in your VOB, but the "first" track happens to be your commentary. You may find the main soundtrack as the second soundtrack; your player should be able to switch soundtracks.
What does your Streams Information text file say? It should be in the folder with the VOBs you ripped in IFO mode.

It sounds to me like you're just playing the vob file(s). Any of the audio tracks might show up when doing it that way. The audio you want is still in there. If you want to guarantee the audio you want, then disable the one(s) you don't want in Stream Processing of DVDDecrypter when ripping in the first place.
If you intend to convert the vobs to some other format, then rest assured that all audio streams are there, and you'll be able to get them when converting to AVI, SVCD, DVD, MPG, whatever.
And, as jggimi said, the Stream Information text file will confirm the presence of the audio track you want.
