Hi. I'm interested in creating new subtitles in other languages and add them to an existing .idx/.sub ripped from DVD so that I have a new .idx/.sub with new tracks of subtitles in it. What tools would you recommend? I have the raw sub file .ifo/.vob as I converted it to .idx/.sub myself using VSRip so either adding to .ifo/.vob or to .idx/.sub would be fine. If possible I would like to have control over font size and style and position like in the following picture. Thanks in advance.

way I might do it...
1) get the cc data using vsrip
2) convert the cc.raw file using scc tools and following guide at site
3) convert resulting scc file to .srt or whatever format you like. Use this to create your new subs in whatever lang -- however you want to translate. Use Subtitle Workshop to tweak.
4) a) use tools and guides on doom9 site to convert to sub format adding to DVD, again using whichever tools & guides
b) use the sub text files with DVDLab Pro or other authoring program to add subs re-authoring DVD

Thanks, mic. But is there other way that I won't have to re-author the DVD?
