hey guys

i recently switched to the new big 3 (scenaid & bcce) and now i have a problem..

with reauthorist and docce4u i would always encode non-progressive sourced interlaced without decomb filters etc..

i would just rip the dvd with doitfast4u with autodetect ntsc video type ON.. when it was done check the .avs for decomb stuff etc and if present just delete those lines.. and then in docce4u just uncheck progressive and topfield first..

but now with the new big 3 (scenaid & bcce) it seems that doesn't work anymore or i just don't know what to uncheck.. now all of a sudden we have "angle" and "alternate" which are also checked and i don't have a clue if i should uncheck them too or not.. what i tried so far gave me jerky/flashy motion like when you have the wrong field order checked..

anyways my question is.. what steps should i take if i want to encode non-progressive ntsc sources interlaced? so without the decomb filter..

thats how i do it too (i actually permanantly comment out the lines in the avs editor in dif4u) .. the angle option doesnt effect interlace (it actually just restricts the gops because angle blocks have to match on a gop level) alternate is for alternate scan which is better for interlace.. if there is an 'i-' in the filename batchcce should pick that up and check alternate scan and uncheck progressive.

make sure you are using the newest version of batch ccews and also make sure you DONOT have reverse field order checked in dif4u . the current versions of the applications work properly together

hmmm maybe the dvd i tried was a weird one or something.. i will try some others..

btw when i edit the avs scripts in doitfast4u each time i start te program i get a corrupt avs script error.. is that normal?

It's been a while since I changed, but isn't the use of top field first completely reversed between batchccews and docce4u? So in batchcce you have to check top field first opposed to docce4u where you unchecked it. And there was also an eclcce issue, so make sure to have the latest version of that too.

that was the whole problem (:
